Senator Aldrich’s 4.5¢ dollar

Filed in: Business, Make Money by Admin on 01-18-09

Since the late 1700s, US money had been backed by gold, and prices had been flat. No inflation, no problem.

Then in 1913, the Federal Reserve System was set up, taking complete control over the money supply–which the Constitution says must be controlled only by the Government. A fatal fatal mistake.

Approximately 58 years later, Richard M. Nixon severed the relationship between gold and US money, and the dollar’s doom was sealed. The phrase “sound as a dollar” faded into antiquity, and the once-invincible green back began to resemble something that wouldn’t even buy Atlantic Ave and Marvin Gardens. Today it’s worth, in 1913 values, 4 1/2¢ and falling.

Next stop, a history book.

They call it “fiat” currency, which is Latin for let it be–money by decree. Many such currencies have come and gone in world history. All of whom have shared the same fate: a painful collapse to absolute nil.
Enter The Duck Hunting Club That Blew the Buck Up…

Hang with me. I’ll try to describe the following scene without becoming passionate and shouting obscenities, but it won’t be easy.

On the evening of November 22, 1910, seven men gathered quietly in Hoboken, New Jersey, in a private railroad car with the blinds drawn.

They were instructed by their illustrious leader, Senator Nelson Aldrich (the grandfather of Vice President Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller)
to arrive at different times and not to talk to each other if they met in public. If any nosy reporters showed up, they were to claim they were going on a duck hunt. One man even brought a borrowed shotgun in a case, even though it later came to light that he had never ever fired a gun in his life…

The seven were instructed to call each other by only their first names when they met in the railcar on the way down to Jekyll Island in Georgia. In fact, they had already met each other because they were the heads of the largest banks in the US, the central figures of the well-known and hated money trust that ruthlessly ruled the New York banking scene.

One of the seven was J. Pierpont Morgan, who three years earlier had helped spread a rumor that the Knickerbocker Trust Company was going to fold, and what do you know, it did–along with hundreds of other banks, triggering a number of suicides. Suicides? Sounds familiar.

Do you remember J.P. Morgan’s top hat and bushy mustache from the Monopoly game cards.  Morgan wangled $25 million from Teddy Roosevelt to buy out Knickerbocker, and thus he eventually became the hero of the campaign to save banking from the panic of 1907! Then 101 years later, JP Morgan Chase pulled a similar stunt, saving Bear Stearns (helped a little by the Fed!) from starting a global collapse. The more things change…

Another of the seven was Paul Warburg, a tall German banker and one of the wealthiest men on the planet. You remember him, lightly disguised, as Daddy Warbucks of Little Orphan Annie fame.

The others were:

Frank Vanderlip, president of National City Bank of New York

Henry Davison, senior partner of the J.P. Morgan Co.

Charles Norton, president of First National Bank of New York

Benjamin Strong, head of Banker’s Trust Company and the first chairman of the Federal Reserve System.

All together, these men known as the G7 controlled, by various accounts, one-sixth to one-fourth of the entire world’s wealth.

The meeting at Jekyll Island was held in incredibly posh surroundings, all owned by Senator Aldrich. For example, one of the “cottages” the bankers stayed in boasted 14 bathrooms! Some cottage. The regular staff at the central clubhouse were given a leave of absence in case they should recognize the men and spill the beans. Temporary help filled in.

Fast forward to 2009…

Life in the United States is about to undergo the most severe changes of the past 200 years. I see people beginning to awaken. Most people though, even well-off investors, will suffer hardships.

We see them beginning to drop like flies.

Fortunately, however, you have at least four years of lead time before the heaviest damage begins.

As you know, this post is well beyond the radar of the mass media. I do not apologize for it. In recent years, my friends and I have garnered numerous awards for being far ahead of the curve and spotting trends that have come to pass just as promised. The predictions are based on numbers that are not subject to misinterpretation.

Make no mistake, we are going to suffer severe hardship, inflation, and continued devaluation of US money…the stories of Depression you heard as a child by your parents and grandparents will be like a walk in the park.

Coming next, part 2…The Great Hoax.

Avoiding Business Finance Nightmare

Filed in: Uncategorized by Admin on 01-09-09

By following the steps recommended below, you will be able to avoid the two most critical mistakes that small business owners make. Your business will benefit from constant financial monitoring, and having a knowledgeable professional to guide you along the way is certainly an advantage as well!

What you are about to read will shock you—your small business may be hemorrhaging money.

It’s true. Many small business owners simply do not keep track of their profit and loss on a regular basis. When was the last time you checked the numbers with your accountant? Last month? Last year? Do you have an accountant?

The two biggest and most serious mistakes that small business owners make are as follows:

- Losing track of income and expenses
- Not having a knowledgeable accountant

Keeping track of your profit and loss is absolutely necessary to maintaining the financial health of your business. Simply put, without reviewing your books every so often, you have no real way to tell if you’re even turning a profit, let alone if you’re in the red. In fact, a whopping 63% of small businesses don’t survive even six years due to financial neglect and limited financial training—and most work-at-home people fail before six months time!

Cookie Tracks

Filed in: Uncategorized by Admin on 10-12-08

Here’s a snippet from Reed Floren’s blog about cookies and cookie tracking that I thought was interesting. This topic should be discussed more in the Internet marketing arena.
clipped from www.reedfloren.com

Soggy Cookies

Many merchants use cookies to track your referrals.  This allows those customers who do not make a purchase on their initial visit to be tagged with your ID, enabling you to receive the credit should they buy at a later date.

The lifespan of the cookies vary from one merchant to another, some only lasting for a single session whilst others go on and on for years.

Unfortunately for you, if the visitor makes a habit of flushing their cookies regularly, has software to block cookies, or if the merchants program is not functioning properly there is very little you can do about the situation.

2009 Planning Calendar For Online Business

Filed in: Business by Admin on 09-27-08

Internet Marketing Spring Cleaning

Here’s a great freebie. Getting Organized and Profitable for 2009 Business.

In all my time talking with and working with other online business owners, I’d say one of the biggest barriers to true success is a lack of focus. Lack of focus hampers business growth and reduces efficiency. Lack of business focus keeps us from doing well with any one thing and can cripple us with the stress of having too much going on in our business.

It’s no wonder. The Internet is a source of many distractions and so many ideas that we can easily become overwhelmed with all the little projects we are contemplating or already have on the go in our online business.

I know, I’ve been there too. I think we all have and that’s why I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that Alice Seba was offering the 1st lesson of her ultra-successful Internet Marketing Spring Cleaning Coaching…for f r e e.

There’s no obligation of any kind and you don’t even have to give up your email address to get it. She just posted the download links to her blog.

If you are dying to clear out some of the clutter from your online business to boost profits, get your first lesson “Taking Your Business Inventory” right here: Click Here
As soon as I’m done here, I’m going to finish my own inventory. It’s definitely an eye-opener and the first step to a super-focused new year.

Create a Business Plan By Answering These 4 Questions

Filed in: Uncategorized by Admin on 07-29-08

Business Plans do not have to be hard to draw up. Here’s a great post that will have you stirring those business plan creative juices in no time.

Terrie
clipped from www.wisebread.com

There are a lot of would be entrepreneurs out there with a great idea, but are afflicted with Business Plan Paralysis. Instead of shipping product, they’re “working” on their plan, doing more “research”, or “thinking about it”.

I think the current literature on entrepreneurship overcomplicates things. Read the guides at Entrepreneur.com or bplans.com, and you run into 50 page documents with charts, spreadsheets, and financial projections accounting for every dime. And if these sources are to be believed, your business plan must also have serious sounding sections like Executive Summary, Competitive Analysis, and Financial Projections.

No wonder would be entrepreneurs stall at this step.

The good news is that you don’t need that kind of plan right now.

Right now, all you need is an internal working plan to get you going. And to get that working plan, all you need to do is answer these four simple questions.
